Denise Peek is the innovator of Make Waves. She has over twenty years' experience with coaching, training, teaching and consulting. She is a Certified Empowerment Coach and an Accredited Energy Leadership Coach. She also has several professional training certifications from Achieve Global, Blessing White, and Employment Learning Innovations in the areas of leadership development, employment law, behavioral interviewing and managing personal growth. She has worked in corporate training and organizational development, helping companies define and execute their training and development strategies, redefine on boarding processes, and build their corporate universities. In addition, she has worked with many small businesses as a coach and consultant to maximize their organizations' potential. She uses a variety of tools, such as the EQi, the Energy Leadership Development System and the Energy Leadership Assessment to help successful people and organizations become even more successful.

Prior to entering the corporate sector, she taught English at the secondary and college levels for eleven years. A native of Atlanta, she received her B.A. in English from Agnes Scott College and her M.Ed. from Georgia State University. She obtained her professional coaching certification from iPEC Coaching and is certified by the International Coaching Federation.
